Earlier spatial research considers how to understand an existing space before designing within it. Digital capture, modelling and physical tests offer different ways to examine clearances, storage, access and construction.
The source material explored applications from compact interiors and van conversions to exhibition settings, with VR as one possible way to review a layout before fabrication.
The interest is in making better-informed decisions about space: testing an arrangement, understanding its constraints and choosing fabrication methods that suit it.
